it’s an excellent album; chilled, stirred, mellow. Josh Garrels releases a pure, soulful voice, and his wife Michelle adds a lacy, delicate touch. the lyrics weigh with truth, and braid into contemplated melodies. we could call him a folk musician, but that would be boxing him in, since some tracks feature spoken words that are too meaningful to be diluted as “rap.” the album is as vast, as torrential, as calm, and as deep as an ever-changing sea. you will not be disappointed.
